I don’t usually stop a study midway, but… I’m feeling a need to do this.

I’m at a point in my life where I’m having to do a lot of soul searching. When I get to doing this, I ask myself a lot of questions.

Am I saying the right things?

Doing the right things?

Thinking the right things?

How do others see me?

What image am I projecting?

What message am I sending?

More often than not the answer to a lot of these questions leaves me hanging my head in shame.  If not, riddled with doubt as I know my vices better than anyone. That is, save God above.

Sometimes when I get on social media I am disgusted by the things I read that fellow Christians are posting about things like sharing traffic warnings on social media because a drunk driver might take the time to read it. Or I get a bit disgruntled by the way people turn up their noses at folks who have tattoos, wear dark clothing, put little to nothing in the church offering bowl, or those who might struggle with some kind of rehabilitating condition.

It seems more and more apparent that we spend a lot of time judging one another based on what we see on the outside.

Which made me want to examine a certain aspect of Christ’s life and ministry:

In other words, the disciples. Because something inside tells me that it is going to be a humbling journey.
